During flight, the PIC (Pilot in Command) also referred to as Captain, has the final authority over the aircraft including all passengers and crew. However, on the ground, the Captain answers to the Chief Pilot, if the company has one. All Commercial and charter companies are required to have a chief pilot. Some private companies also have a chief pilot, though not required.

pilot
The pilot wants to know the absolute position of the target until he sees it. After that, he is primarily interested in the target's relative position to him.
A prone pilot is a pilot laying on his belly. In this position he can counter higher g-forces in turns or pull-ups as with the conventional seated position. Reason: the vertical height between heart and brain is less, so the heart has less problems to feed the brain when g-forces are increased. Many think this is a very bad position for the pilot when you think about comfort. Wrong guess. I tested a few prone positions at home and can say that if properly supported you can be in that position for hours.
