Flapjacks is a name given to pancakes. Some are thin like the French crepe others are thick like American hoe cakes, but no matter the name they are bread cooked on a griddle and buttered on both sides, and ever country and culture has their own. The term flapjack maybe British or even have originally been flat cake.
