the history of the ak47 began with a wounded russian tank sergeant in World War 2, mikail kalashnikov (1919 to present). he designed weapons for the russians during his time in the infirmary. and the last weapon he designed changed warfare forever. the kalashnikov 1947 or simply ak47 came around with its high powered 7.62x51mm bullet. at first the russian military thought of it a clumsy weapon, but when tested it had extreme combat effectiveness. more models have been made like the ak74, ak74u, akm, and the ak100. but even after the fall communism, the ak47 remains as the icon of war (next to the broadsword). this is my second favorite weapon, it doesn't come close the .44 magnum revolver sword hybrid. mikail kalashnikov is alive to this very writing (2011) and now doesn't make weapons but makes vodka (no joke). this is the history of the ak47. screw the m4a1
