good question ....):
If you have a stock fuel pump on your GSXR 1000 K8 your bike will NOT have a fuel filter.
I have a Rizla k8 and by looking at the service manual online for K8s it says 17T. I have a 16T up front though. Rear is 43T. Stock chain is DID530 VA9, 112 Links.
i would fit it by not being shy about taking the front of the bandit.and then attempting to mount the gsxr 1000 front end in the bearing hole .make sure the bearings have no loose play of course.i would try to mount the gsxr bearings with the front if it fits.then tighten the main bolt to specs.if it feels rite then use the handlebars ,and brakes from the gsxr,i would also buy or use the gsxr rim with calipers. Bleed your brakes, check over everything 100 times for safety.mount all your handlebar electronic switches and throttle.basically just take it apart and reassemble with your gsxr front. If you cant do it you can put the original back together.Check out a magazine called Streetfighters printed in U.K. the mag costs $9.99 at the local mall book store.they do alot of these swaps.

My k8 has indicated 177 via the speedo, but a GPS indicated 168mph. That's with full 2 bros exhaust, 0/+2 gearing, and a PCIII.
Kaight Zoia goes by K8.

k8 sang the Days Inn commercial that aired nationwide from 2004-2009ish. Keep on the Sunny Side is a June Carter Cash song. You can see the commercial by clicking the related link below. And you can also learn more about k8 by clicking the other related link below.
The timing belt on the b6 & k8 motors should be changed every 60-80k miles depending on the wear of the belt. You can check the wear yourself by removing the valve cover on the b6 model where as the k8 is somewhat more difficult and will require removing the timing cover. If there are any nicks, frays, or cracks the belt should be replaced.
