if its a police interceptor it should have about 340 horsepower at the wheels. if not it probably has about 305 depending on the condition of the vehicle
well if it is a police inteceptor it will have the 5.8 liter motor and the p-71 police inteceptors will have 140 on the dash and will snap the u joints when you step on it but find out if you have the 351 clevlend or the 351 windsor motor the clevlend makes about 40 more poneys than the windsor. i have a police p-71 and somebody put the motor and transmission in my crown vic and i have the week 5.0 h.o motor in mu car but the smaller gears make up for the loss of horsepower .on the highway i run about 162 mph but mine is not stock i have all cobra parts and alluminum wheels and k&n cold air induction with shorty headers and a lanati camshaft but you can make about 30 more horses by adjusting your timing 14% advance that's what i did and last time i dynoed my car it was 458 hp and 496 ft\lbs but mine ain't stock if need ansers i am a A.S.E certified mechanic
