I believe the 1991-1995 550SX's have 47 H.P. The SX's are the only ones I'm not 100% about. I'd say 47 is just about right though as my friend had one and it was not quite as fast or powerful as my 650sx but it was close. The SX is way faster than the 1982-1985 models. Here are some specs on other skis. 1982-1985 JS550 36h.p. 1986-1990 js550 41h.p. JS400 24.5hp. Js440 27hp (all models) JS300 30hp (all models). JS650sx (87-90) 52hp (91-93)55hp... I'm pretty sure the later models had a little more power due to a bigger carb. JS750SX 63hp (92-94). JS750SXI and SXI pro (95-2002) 75hp. SXR 800 80hp (all models).
