the human digestive process is the way the foods we take in breaks down chemically and mechanically. The process finishes with defecation. The food enters the mouth, being chewed by teeth, and broken down by the saliva from the glands. Then it travels down the esophagus into the stomach. Acids break down most of the food. The 'leftovers' go through your small intestine, through your large intestine, and comes out as waste. Digestion is a form of catabolism. In short, digestion is the process of conversion of complex substances into simpler ones for easy absorption and assimilation by the body.

You eat it, it gets digested and crushed in your stomach, then go to the small intestine to remove nutrients, then to the large intestine to drain out any liquid left, and congratulations!
