The best current way to find out what your ideal weight is, regardless of age, is to use the body mass index or BMI formula. This formula goes as such: Weight in pounds X 703 / height in inches squared and compare the results to this: A BMI below 18.5 is underweight, from 18.5 through 24.9 is normal or desired, from 25.9 through 29.9 is overweight, and a BMI which registers at 30 or over is considered obese. so a 5'3" female weighing 130 lbs. would have a BMI of 23.03 and would be perfectly normal. A 5'3" woman could weigh up to about 141 lbs. and still be in the normal range without being considered overweight.
For a 23-year-old female (or a female of any age) there can be no ideal weight because weight is related to height and body composition rather than age. What counts more than your body weight is your body fat percentage. To learn more about this, see the page link, further down this page, listed under Related Questions. Alternatively, please feel free to ask the question again and include more detail.
Age has nothing to do with weight. It's height that's important.
