McDonald's has been receiving a lot of criticism about their Brand Name and longterm sustainability. But when taking a deeper look at McDonalds it affects us in a variety of ways both positive and negative. For example, McDonald's provides a great opportunity for a career and moving up. According to AboutMcDonalds.com, they provide employment to over 1.7 million people. Not only does McDonald's provide employment opportunities, but they also provide support to communities in need. Through the Ronald McDonald Charity Houses, many of families have been provided shelter and help when fighting through illnesses.

On the other side, McDonald's has been said to affect us negatively by creating obesity. But this is hard to support because there have been efforts to inform customers about making healthy choices, moderation, etc. They have even created a product builder that can help you find what you will order and get a customized nutritional breakdown on it.

McDonald's has many social impacts on the economy. Some of the positive ones are job creation, food on the go for working parents and moderately cheap prices. Some of the negative impacts on the economy are a rise in health care costs, an increase of the gap between classes and higher costs to counteract the pollution caused by the transportation and maintenance of ingredients.
