Someone who is bed ridden is someone who has to stay in bed for a period of time (mostly for medical reasons), for a certain goal.
you can have your client turned in a sidelying position at the opposite side of the bed where you will start your bed making... make sure that when you turn your patient, go to side where you will turn your patient and turn the client towards you to avoid falls... then untuck the part you'll do first... roll it then tuck on your client's back... then start spreading the sheets rolling the farther side and also tuck it at the back of your patient.. after you have placed all the sheets.. have your client face the other side of the bed... then untuck first the soiled linen... then untuck the rolled clean linen and tuck it in the underside of the bed...

To facilitate removal of fluid from the chest wall, the client is positioned sitting at the edge of the bed leaning over the bedside table with the feet supported on a stool. If the client is unable to sit up, the client is positioned lying in bed on the UNaffected side with the head of the bed elevated 30 to 45 degrees.
I assume this is a medical question - siderails will prevent a patient from falling out of bed.

Nicotine cravings, habitual smoking, and general sleepiness and/or laziness. Of course some smokers are simply bed ridden through no fault of their own and should not be considered lazy.
