Christian ethics are not necessarily unique and have been carried by human religion/philosophy for a long time. The importance derived from them will vary with the individual.
I think the difference lies on who it is meant to be. For the counselling, it is for the counselor for when they do their job and for nursing then its for nurses when they do their duties.
If your are not religious or Christian then it has little or no importance. Should you be a Christian then Chritianity, along with other religious beliefs, are basically a set of ethics and morals to live by plus a belief in a deity.

Universal ethics should be practised and taught in schools. To this extent, Christian ethics will be practised and taught in schools, as will Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist and even secular ethics - they all mean the same thing.
