Pilgrimage or Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam. It is obligatory on all Muslims once in lifetime if they can afford. It includes almost all kinds of worship-prayer, charity, jihad, sacrifice, tolerance, kindness, helping the poor and the needy, being neat, clean and pure physically as well as spiritually. sacrificing money and personal belongings and comfort in the way of Almighty Allah.

It entails then, that holy places of pilgrimages are an extension of additional darsan, of which can be given and received by travelling on a pilgrimage.
