ancient Rome influenced today's architexture very much. If you look at many of the important buildings of today and the buildings of rome they may look very similar. May it be the columns, arches, or the shape of a dome on a building. They also invented the first (very un-modern) type of sement. They have influenced us very much in many different catigories this being the biggest. I am unfimiliar with they way they affected us in language but i am sure they did in some way. :)
