People use very little carbon dioxide in a day - a bit in carbonated beverages or some in afire extinguisher perhaps. However, most North Americans generate about 1 tonne a year (6 lb/day)
Because sedimentary rocks are formed from tiny animals which have died and fallen to the sea bed millions of years ago. Due to more substances falling onto the sea bed above the animals, they are pressurized underground. Due to the heat of Earth's core, the animals are burnt under the ground, turning into fossil fuels. These animals contain carbon dioxide, and reduce the levels from the atmosphere by dying and travelling underground. This is how sedimentary rocks are a reason for reduced levels of carbon dioxide in the modern atmosphere.Other reasons are that the carbon dioxide dissolved into oceans which were formed millions of years ago. Also, the formation of plants reduced the carbon dioxide levels due to photosynthesis, as they intake it and do not replace it, as they produce oxygen and glucose as a result of photosynthesis.
If you performed the cellular respiration experiment without soaking the cotton with KOH, you could predict no net change in vial 1 in addition to vial 2. Why? The carbon dioxide given off in vial 1 will obscure the intake of oxygen in that vial.
The element CARBON enters the body in two NATURAL ways. First is through eating and drinking. Almost all food that we eat contain the element carbon. As the ingested food reaches the digestive system, food is broken down into smaller pieces up until the molecular level. Some molecules are taken into the circulation, while others are excreted down as feces. Second is by breathing. Certain air molecules contain carbon. One major air molecule is CARBON DIOXIDE. Some molecules are inhaled, but usually, CARBON DIOXIDE should be excreted from the body. Unnatural ways when CARBON could enter the body is by medical intervention, as in intravenous injections, surgery, etc.
It release heat which you feel as it being hot. Exothermic means to release heat and endothermic means to intake heat(energy) making it feel cold like water freezing.
Plants intake carbon dioxide and release oxygen.
Carbon dioxide is a waste product breathed out by living animals. Excessive intake of carbon dioxide can lead to carbon dioxide poisoning.
They are called stomata, tiny holes that regulate the intake/output of gas, such as carbon dioxide and oxygen.
They are called stomata, tiny holes that regulate the intake/output of gas, such as carbon dioxide and oxygen.
Carbon dioxide is released in aerobic respiration during the second stage of reactions. Enzymes break down the pyruvate created during glycolysis (the first stage) into C02. The second stage is also called the Krebs Cycle
Yes, they absorb the carbon dioxide. They make sugars for their own food and release free nitrogen back into the soil. It is part of the carbon cycle. So therefore, they intake some of the carbon so that we have the perfect amount to live.
BREATHING- It is the intake of oxygen and release of carbon dioxide. RESPIRATION-It involves breathing and breakdown of food with and release of energy with the help of oxidation of blood.
They intake Carbon Dioxide and exhale Oxygen as a waste product.
The respiratory system supplies the body with oxygen and expels carbon dioxide.
They intake Carbon Dioxide and exhale Oxygen as a waste product.
I'm probably not gonaa have the right answer but I gunna give my logical answer... They don't have watse gas and and resposible for carrying oxgen to body parts so there function is to intake oxygen then resleease and repeat.?????
6 CO2 + 6H2O + energy = C6H12O6 + 6O2 so gas used is carbon dioxide and gas produced is oxygen
