I don't know the exact formula but, i know the density of iso-octane: 0.69 g/ml

And one gallon is equal to 3,840 ml so.... all you need is the volume.

The empirical formula is C8H18; the structural formula I'm not going to attempt to draw here but you should be able to figure it out from the IUPAC name: 2,2,4-trimethylpentane.
