What I always like in my Science Fiction is it makes me think about what I would do in their situation. It's good to be unique and make the reader really think about this world you've created. Suprises and sudden turns in the plot will make your reader hang onto your everyword. Be desrcriptive because the world you are creating is genrally like no other. Make this world be as vivid as looking down at your own hand.
'The Narrow Land' by Jack Vance
Yes it is! and a very good book
have you seen Death Note?
Yes , it is a fiction book . That is a very good book that all the people can gain knowledge from it .
The many definitions of Science Fiction allow for broad inclusions however any 'good' science fiction would include interpolations and extrapolations on reality.
Well, there is another series called the Secret Series ( First book: The Name of This Book is Secret, Second Book: If You Are Reading This, It's Too Late, Third Book: This Book is Not Good For You). They are really witty and funny, and even though they are a close second to The Mysterious Benedict Society, nothing could ever be as good as it. You should check out the Secret Series (the author is Pseudonymous Bosch).

If you're thinking of "Treasure Island" by Robert Louis Stevenson, no it's not. It's a children's book, but a novel, not a fairy tale. Fairy tales are shorter and include magic elements (such as... fairies?)
The Hunger Games is a very good book series. It won a Hal Clement Award for excellence in young adult science fiction.
Some good science fiction storys about humans from an alien's POV are Dave's Natterings and Gotta Have Aliens.
It's consider Science Fiction & Fantasy. In my opinion, it's just Fantasy. A very good one.
