Ctrl - H opens the Find and Replace dialog box.

In IE, it opens your browsing History tab. In other applications it will find & replace text, sort of like a <ctrl><f>, which is a find/search.
In most browser you can use Ctrl+h keyboard shortcut.
press tab press t find in add: subdivide
Click CTRL+F to prompt the Find dialog box which also has a tab for Find and Replace.
The editing button allows the user to access Find and Replace tools.
Ctrl-F will open the Find. You can access replace from there. You can also use Ctrl-H for replace.

It is unlikely that you have a built in shortcut key. However, if you are using Microsoft Word you can set up a custom hotkey. A square root sign has character code 221A - you can find it under Insert: Symbol. From there you can set a keyboard shortcut; I've just set mine to Ctrl + SQ, which works fine. The standard shortcut key is "ALT"+ X
