The attraction between the molecules of a gas is considered to be almost zero. The volume of the molecules of a gas as compared with the total volume of gas is considered to be negligible (can be ignored). The time of collision of a molecule with another is so small as compared with time spent between collisions that it can also be ignored. Gas molecules also collide with the wall of the container and their momentum remain same but its direction is reversed. This rate of change of momentum (or the force they exert per unit area of the container is the pressure of the gas.
