There is no way to diagnose a large lump on the lower side, above the hip without seeing a physician. It could be a number of things from minor to serious.
If you are referring specifically to the two large knobs that can appear at the back of the throat on either side of the uvula, probably coated in yellow or white spots of discharge, the answer is your tonsils.
