-well the highest ive heard for 1 man was on nat geo documentary on the biological Adam (from Adam and Eve, only scientific)were it was found that 1 in 4 Hungarians are decended from Ganges Kan, who is said to have fathered between 6000-8000 children.
-as for single women- "The highest officially recorded number of children born to one mother is 69, to the first wife of Feodor Vassilyev** (1707-1782) of Shuya, Russia. Between 1725 and 1765, in a total of 27 confinements, she gave birth to 16 pairs of twins, seven sets of triplets, and four sets of quadruplets. 67 of them survived infancy."

The 'lucky' lady was a Russian peasant who gave birth to 16 pairs of twins, seven sets of triplets and four sets of quadruplets between 1725 and 1765. She also holds the world record for giving birth to the most sets of twins and sets of quadruplets.
