Laws needed to be interpreted by impartial judges
I think she is passing the judges' scores to a stage hand who delivers the numeric paddles to the judges during the contestant interview.
The Indians should select their judges through a multi-stage procedure unlike the present one since 1983 - selection by senior judges. The procedure should include short listing, written examination, personality & aptitude assessment, interview and finally presentation & voting in parliament because the parliament has the power to impeach so they should select as well.
Yes, the judges are fair and honest. I have judged for National American Miss and was very impressed with the way the judges were held accountable and not allowed to discuss their scores with one another. The judges score sheets are collected after each event, so there is no opportunity to make changes. Each contestant is scored as she presents herself on stage during the formal wear competition and then the personal introduction and interview competitions. There was one time that I felt a girl I liked the most should have won, but the auditor showed me the score sheets from all of the other judges and the majority of the judges had picked the other girl to win. I then understood why they have so many judges and it is not just up to one or two judges to decide, each of the judges scores matters. In my opinion, National American Miss is a very reputable pageant system.
The Midnight Judges, appointed by President John Adams in the final hours of his presidency, were important because they helped shape the judiciary branch of the U.S. government. The appointments fueled the debate over the balance of power between the executive and judicial branches and had long-lasting implications for the interpretation of the Constitution. The controversy surrounding the Midnight Judges also led to the landmark Supreme Court case, Marbury v. Madison, which established the principle of judicial review.
