In line with the pronouncement of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on intensifying the use of English language as a medium for communication and written correspondences, the Staff Development Division, Human Resource Development Service (SDD, HRDS) of the Department of Education (DepED) will conduct a Basic English Training for all DepED non-teaching personnel.
The training is aimed at reviewing grammar and correct usage, office language and proper greetings, writing technical communications like endorsements, letters, reports and memoranda, and providing tips on how to handle clients.
Each region is requested to send 25 participants, preferably, the frontline employees-secretaries, clerks, information officers, administrative officers, HRMOs and other technical staff for a total of 75 participants per venue.
The schedules of the training are as follows: Region I, II, and CAR (August 23 to 25, 2005, Oasis Convention Hotel, La Union); Region VI, VII, and VII (September 6 to 8, 2005, Sarrosa Hotel, Cebu City); Region IX, X, and XI (September 27 to 29, 2005, Regency Inn, Davao City); and Central Office, Reg. III, NCR (October 4 to 6, 2005, Legenda Hotel, Subic, Olongapo City).
Regions IV-A, IV-B, V, XII, CARAGA, and ARMM will have their training on 2006.
