I don't now exactly or if it's the same for every state, but I'm pretty sure that you can shoot a person if you feel threatened, and that probably would go for trespassers. However, it might not be such a good idea, because they might not think that you had the right to shoot them. You just have to have a really good reason. So, don't go shooting anyone for no reason, that could get you in big trouble.
