There are many rare and endangered horse breeds, such as the Kathiawari, Abtenauer, Andravida, Cretan Horse, Nakota, Hirzai, Kladruber, unmol, and others. It is not quite known exactly which is the "most rare", for quite a few breeds barely have what you could call a "herd" left.
The Eriskay pony is incredibly rare
Akhal Teke are also very rare, and very beautiful. They make great Sport horses for Show Jumping and Eventing

∙ 12y agoThere is no 'weakest' breed of horse. Even the smallest breed of horse or pony can pull almost twice it's own weight. But if you must pick one it would probably be best to go with Miniatures and falabella horses as they can only be ridden by some one lighter than 70 pounds and even then it's not recommended to put anyone on their backs. They are best suited to being pets and driving animals.

∙ 11y agoCurrently, according to the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy (who keeps track of which breeds have the fewest numbers), American Chinchillas are the least common breed.

There is no one breed that will fit this bill. You can find relatively cheap horses in just about any breed, and many of them have decent jumping ability. If you are looking for a specific breed, like one of the German Warmblood/ sporthorse breeds, then you'll have to either save up to spend on a good quality horse or buy a young horse and have it put into training.You can find good Thoroughbreds for relatively cheap through rescues for nominal fees, and many of them have been re-started, and are being worked over low to medium style jumps.If you will be competing on a breed circuit, then you'll have to figure out what a 'good jumper' costs in that breed.
