Wild red eared sliders live about 20 years. Red eared sliders that live in an aquarium (that has a filter and a heater) can live up to 85 years. You always need to have a light for any aquarium turtle to rest in the "sun" or your turtle will not be that happy...

I have one and is eight years so Turt has a long way to go.

When taken care of correctly, a red-eared slider can live around fifty years. They are definitely a pet that you can pass down to your children or grandchildren.

Can you put a frog in with your red eared slider and your yellow belly turtles?

First of all, a 10 gallon tank is too small for a turtle, let alone a turtle AND a frog! The proper rule of thumb for aquatic turtles is 10 gallons for every inch of turtle... if you have a 4 inch long turtle, you need at least 40 gallons of water. And second of all, putting a frog with a slider of any age will mean a fed turtle. The turtle WILL eat the frog. Don't try it.
