Only the 3.4 Liter V6 has a timing belt. Replace the belt every 90,000 miles. As the water pump is driven by the cam belt also replace the pump. (Warning) This is an interference engine so if the belt breaks serious engine damage will occur. Do not neglect this repair or you may pay dearly. The 4 cylinder has a chain which requires no regular maintenance and should last the life of the engine.
