Mechanical crane:

If built right and properly maintained, well sixty years is almost standard. I have seen much older machines in long active duty. Exceptionally, some electric cranes used in indoor factories have gone over the century mark! There are many cranes built in the fifties that are in everyday use and many older ones.

Crane, the bird:

A crane has a similar lifespan as humans, that is, they can live 80 or 90 years. However some cranes have shorter lives. The Whooping Crane, for example, from North America, lives for 20 to 22 years.
