Disk brake pad indicator. When this illuminates (at other times than stating the engine) it indicates that the front disk brake pads should be replaced. Brake pad wear is always heavier on the front than on the back.
In the past this use to mean that the brake master cylinder was low on fluid. Or the sensor inside the master cylinder (which is a float) is stuck on the bottom of the resevior.

That is the Check Engine light. It means there is a problem with the emissions system.
Your brakes are getting low and you need to replace them.
Read your owner's manual. It means water temp.
It means your coolant levels are low.
Usually if you press Fn and press a thing that looks like a sun or a lightbulb, that does the trick.

If you mean a circle that looks sort of like a gear with an exclamation mark in the middle, it represents the Transaxle fault light. Have it looked at by a mechanic. I had this light come on while driving 75 mph....it slammed me hard. I dropped from 75mph to 45mph very quickly without doing anything. I noticed that the "transaxel light" came on. So I took it to Ford and they checked it out. The light came on as a safety warning. My battery cables were too hot. They replaced them and I've had no problems since. Good Luck !!! Ford zx3 owner
