There are many lists on the local levels, but there are three major international listings, with sites that have lists of species categorized as endangered, as well as a range of other statuses. They are the "IUCN" Red List, (International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources). The Endangered Species List Program of the U.S. Fishand Wildlife Services. Finally there is a group of countries united together for one cause, called "CITES", this is the (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora).
