On 1990, 302 V8 model, the sensors are located just aft of the exhaust headers and on a line where the gearbox joins to the rear of the engine and where the exhausts start to run down the body. You need to get under the car, they are just above the floor pan line. The two sensors have two white wires and one black one (or is that two black and one white?). There is one sensor for each cylinder bank.
More Model Information:
1996 and up were OBDII and had four O2 sensors. One before the cats, and one after on each side. The O2 sensor in question would be the front drivers side.
