A ... lug wrench.
yes the wheel lugs bolt on to the hub The foregoing is correct, but in modern automobiles the hub is not actually "part" of the wheel. The hub is part of the axle assembly and the wheel is bolted onto the hub using lug bolts and lug nuts. Hope that helps.
Are you sure you do not mean lug? The lug is the part of the spindle that the nuts that hold the wheel on the vehicle are attached to.
the part where your foot goes to push down on.
remove the jack. remove the hubcap. loosen the lug nuts. Raise the vehicle. remove the lug nuts. remove the flat tire. replace the tire. tighten the lug nuts. lower vehicle. tighten the lug nuts again. replace the hubcap.
Lift up the carpet tab at the back of the cargo area, you'll see a large nut that is the same size as a lug nut. Use the lug wrench to turn it left to lower the spare.
You are not supposed to "lug" an engine- keep the revs up by shifting into a lower gear
you crack the lug nuts, jack the van, remove the lug nuts, take wheel off. put the wheel on, thread the lug nuts on, snug them with the tire iron, lower the car, and tighten them to ~140Nm.
the led lug with the positive sign next to it +
remembering where you put the lug nuts
loosen the lug nuts with a 19mm wrench. jack up the car. remove the tire. put a new one on. put the lug nuts back on tight enough. lower the car. tighten lug nuts to 90 ft-lbs
Was hoping to determine a source for used parts. The parts involved seem to be the four of the lug nuts themselves and then something called the HUB which appears to be part of the brake rotor as well. Any used part sources?
