You cannot have a copy on your mail server of Gmail. It is because Gmail has their own servers. They do not let any other servers interact with them.
One option would be to use Gmail. Gmail allows you to add POP3 or IMAP accounts into your Gmail account. When you log into Gmail, your external mailboxes are checked and the mail is displayed in your Gmail inbox.
You can get gmail by going onto the Google browser page and click the gmail link in which it has an email sign in. underneath this should be something that says "dont have gmail? click here to make an account" which you click and it will ask you questions and you answer them and you will have a gmail email.
you can't you boiled bean
No, gmail is a mail server that will help you to send or receive mail etc. blogspot is a service for blogger of Google. you can try it.
"Gmail is reliable. Gmail has many great features including spam blocking, significant space per account, and there is encryption on gmail accounts to ensure security."
Gmail accounts are individually owned. You can sign up for a Gmail account directly from their website. The accounts are free and can be customized for sending and receiving mail.
This varies by the operating system used to run the mail server. In Linux, typically there are separate service daemons (servers) for each protocol. A popular SMTP server for receiving mail (from local users to go out, or from other domains coming in) is Postfix. A popular POP3/IMAP server is Dovecot. But if you ask different people you may get different answers based on their unique setup.

(see links below)
Not necessarily. I have already done this with other e-mail accounts. I have found that Gmail is flexible in its methods. The easiest way to centralize mail is to have all other accounts forward mail to the central account. Almost all e-mail accounts have some sort of "Forward" option. In Gmail, this can be found in "Settings" under "Forwarding and POP/IMAP." There's no reason to use these unless you need to retrieve e-mail with an external client (which I don't like to do; I like Gmail's interface). If you need to do this, ask another question or contact me. Congratulations - you are well on your way to simplified e-mail!
User can send a mail from Gmail account to other ones. Hotmail and Yahoo are examples of those. Gmail provides cross server mailing too.
yes yahoo has five times more user than gmail, but gmail is also most rapidly growing.nd in few coming years it would replace yahoo. Also, some schools have g-mail accounts for kids so that is making more accounts
