Well, firstly, William saw that his opposition had a tight wall of shields so he decided to run down the hill with his army. The opposing side thought that William was retrieving so they ran down the hill, breaking the wall.
Later on, Harold (opposition) was shot in the eye by an arrow and soon after , he died. Harold's army was defeated and William conquered England!
