Young love is unpredictable. Sometimes you can't Dodge your fate. Only love can end hatred. ("Who, with their deaths, bury their parents' strife.)
The Montagues and Capulets are two rival families. They are involved in a family feud that goes back years before any of the members were born.Yet the feud still continues due to the fact that neither family is ready to forgive and forget the past. Even the townspeople are involved because the families do not keep the feud in the privacy of their own home but have been seen fighting in the public streets and displaying violence. They disrupt the peace of Verona and even Prince Escalus personally had to break up a fight, where the family members were heavily fined . They were also given a warning that another public fight could result in death. While this is occurring Romeo ,the main character, is getting over his last love, Rosaline, and was very upset. Juliet of the Capulet household has just been introduced to a wealthy young man , Paris, who her parents wish her to marry. Yet she does not love him.
The main plot of Romeo and Juliet is that Romeo is upset over Roseline and to get over his depression, Benvolio and Mercutio take him to Capulet's maskerade and Romeo falls in love with Juliet. Unfortunatly, Romeo and Juliets families are sworn enemies so they think of a plan so they can be together.
There are two feuding families, The Capulets and The Montagues. Romeo (a Montague) falls in love with Juliet (a Capulet) and they secretly get married. When Juliet's cousin (Tybalt), kills Romeo's best friend, Romeo kills Tybalt and Romeo is banished. Whilst Romeo is in a neighbouring town Juliet's Father plans an arranged marriage for Juliet not knowing she is already married. Juliet sends a note to Romeo telling him that she will take a special potion to make her appear dead, and for him to take her away as soon as she wakes up. However the note never reaches Romeo and when he hears of Juliet's death he rushes to the scene and he poisons himself thinking she is dead. When Juliet wakes up she sees Romeo's corpse, and plunges his dagger into herself thus committing suicide for real. - how boring
Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet fall in love with each other and marry in secret because their families are enemies. After the wedding, Romeo is banished from the city for killing Juliet's cousin. Juliet is unhappy about this so to cheer her up, her father arranges a marriage with another man. Unwilling to tell her father the truth or become a bigamist, Juliet fakes her own death, hoping to get together with Romeo after her parents bury her. But Romeo hears about the fake death and kills himself; Juliet awakes and finding Romeo dead kills herself as well. When the truth becomes known, their parents reconcile.
The Capulets and Montagues habitually fight, and the Prince has made it a capital offence to fight in public. Romeo Montague has been moping over a girl called Rosaline. These are the key points in scene 1. In scene 2 we find out that Capulet is having a party, and Romeo finds out that Rosaline is on the guest list. In scene 3 we find out that Mrs. Capulet wants Juliet to consider marrying Paris, and that she is to meet him at the party. Scene 4 does not establish any plot points. In scene 5, Romeo sees Juliet and falls for her. He introduces himself and they kiss. Meanwhile Tybalt sees Romeo at the party and wants to fight with him but is prevented.
Romeo and Juliet is a play which was intended to entertain and engage its audience. That's the point of it. If you don't enjoy watching it, someone has missed the point.

Pyramus and Thisbe
Shakespeare certainly wrote the play Romeo and Juliet, unless you subscribe to the theory that someone else wrote all of his plays under his name. Shakespeare did not invent the plot of Romeo and Juliet, but then Shakespeare did not invent any of his plots.
reveal the plot, get the groundlings interested, and allow Shakespeare to compose a sonnet
Primary: Romeo, Juliet, Capulet, Friar Lawrence, The Nurse, Tybalt, Mercutio, Benvolio. The play could not be performed without them. Secondary: Mrs. Capulet, Balthazar, the illiterate servant, Friar John, Paris, the Prince. They help the plot but are not totally essential. Tertiary: Mrs. Montague, Peter, Samson, Abram. You could write them out and it would make no difference whatsoever.

Romeo and Juliet
He gives an overview of the plot in the Prologue, but it is extremely vague and general. Most of it you could guess from the title: "The Lamentable Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet."
Romeo and Juliet.
All the family members of the Montagues and Capulets are blamed and punished in Romeo and Juliet. This is because in one way or the other, they were all involved in the plot that lead to the consequences of Romeo and Juliet's fate.
The plot of the play Romeo and Juliet was not actually an original to William Shakespeare. "The Tragicall Historye of Romeus and Juliet" by Arthur Brooke is supposedly where he got the story. However, Brooke borrowed the story too. In fact it is fair to say that every version of Romeo and Juliet that we know of borrowed most of its plot from an earlier source.
Pyramus and Thisbe
There was a remake of the traditional Romeo and Juliet in 1996 of the same name. It gave the plot a modern day makeover.
