How do you disable the alarm on a 1995 eagle vision?

Short VTSS Disarm Sense to ground, on the Body Control Module.

Does a 93 jeep Cherokee have a vtss system and if so can it be dis-connected?

Short communication line to ground (with ignition off) and try to start the engine. It should be impossible because PCM is not getting the VTSS message from the BCM. Remove short from line and turn ignition on. With ignition on short communication line again. Done.

How do you you stop the alarm on jeep 1996 from sounding?

A. If you leave the front doors unlocked, the alarm shouldn't arm itself. This is how the Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS) operates. Probably more than you want to know about it

93 jeep Cherokee Laredo you rebuilt the transmission and now it won't start We did the security thng with the passenger door but it still won't fire help?

WARNING ...this by no means is a solution you should try. use it as a last resort... When i removed my doors for the first time in my 93 JEEPENSTINE, i made sure i did not disconnect the battery so i would not have to play with wires to get the V.T.T.S. security crap to go away. the passenger door wires were wrecked so i cut them so i could re-wire it another day. After all the doors were off i decided to start it up and the security crap went off. its 11 pm i just got done carrying them to the basement deal with it tomorrow... Day goes Start it up and its still doing the security, so i decided to wrap my brain around the security system by studying the Jeep bible (Haynes repair manual). So i now know that wire i will need to get the passenger door unlock triggered. I take out the keys, hit the wires, VTSS. i try again, and a different way, i tried this and that, 4 hours later. I sit down DC defeated. And think what my father would do to fix it, One thing he always ranted at me was "Start with the basics your over thinking it."usually followed by "Dont think too hard you'll hurt yourself". so the basics it is, interior fuse box good, engine fuse box I.O.D. 10a fuse is blown. i replace the fuse. start it up and JEEPENSTINE is alive BUT NOT FOR LONG! With the Beast still running, I hop out whats left of the laredo shell like a excited school girl and start shoving all the door wires and plugs into the cavities they came from. i get to the passenger door cut wires and I proceed to ground them out. Sh*t i check the fuses nothings popped of great importance, plus the annoying jeep HUD (heads up display) goes out. that works for me the door ajar flashing would have drove me nuts. At least the beast is still running! i grab some wire plugs and attack the exposed wires and drive off into the sunset with no doors. Next morning the security light starts winking at me jeep wont start. BASICS. replaced every fuse that was dead in the interior. Start it up and nothing. Ok time to drag the door from the basement. not bolting it on i angle it in a way i can re-connect the wires. get all the doors connected lock and unlock the passenger door start it up and i noticed that the HUD is flickering when im starting it. strange never seen that before. the pcm is having an issue feeding enough power the the hud. i go and check the I.O.D. fuse its fine. something is spiking power back to the interior but not enough to pop the I.O.D., so i decide to ground out the magical yellow and purple wires tried starting it up . The HUD freaked out and shut off popped the IOD. replaced it Jeep started and popped the IOD but its running! and has ever since. with the IOD fuse blown in the now known "naughty box". so in theory fry a connection between your VTSS system and the pcm. if it works for you i would suggest removing the VTSS while the vehicle is running for 2min its under the glove box pull the dash

What is a BCM fuse?

The Body Control Module (BCM) supplies vehicle occupants with visual and audible information and controls various vehicle functions, To provide and receive information, the module is interfaced to the vehicle's serial bus communications network, the Chrysler Collision Detection (CCD) bus. This network consists of the powertrain control module (PCM), the Transmission Control Module (TCM) , the electro/mechanical instrument cluster (MIC) , the Airbag Control Module (ACM) , the Compass/mini-trip module and the Controller Antilock brake Module (CAB). The BCM is operational when battery power is supplied to the module. Ignition switch power is needed for ignition switch functions. The BCM provides the following features: • Automatic door locks • Battery protection • Chimes • Compass/mini-trip support • Courtesy lamps • BCM diagnostic support • Door lock inhibit • Headlamp time delay • Ignition key lamp • Illuminated entry • Instrument panel dimming • Mechanical instrument cluster support • Power door locks (with/without remote keyless entry) • Sliding door memory lock • Vehicle Theft Security system (VTSS) • Windshield wipers / washers (front and rear)

How do you program a Chrysler jeep or dodge transponder chip key?

If you don't have 2 keys you'll need to call a locksmith or the dealership. Before you call the locksmith, make sure you have the four digit PIN code to your vehicle. The dealership has the PIN code and will give it to you for FREE with proof of ownership to the vehicle. The can also give you the key code which is helpful at the same time. Add a key when you already have two: 1) Insert one the programmed transponder keys into the ignition lock cylinder and turn the switch to the "ON" position 2) The key should be in the "ON" position for 5 seconds but not more than 15 seconds. Turn back to the "OFF" position. 3) Within 10 seconds, insert second programmed transponder key into the ignition and turn to the "ON" position. The VTSS ( Vehicle Theft Security System ) or Immobilizer System lamp (depending on model ) should start to flas. An audible tone will indicate the system has entered the " Programming Mode ". 4) Within 45 seconds, turn the switch to the "OFF" position. Insert the new transponder key and turn the switch to the "ON" position. After approx. 10 seconds and audible tone will sound and indicator lamp will illuminate briefly. This will let you know key has been programmed. 5) To add aditional keys, repeat steps 1 - 4.
