The 2007-2008 CBR600RR's have approximately 107HP at 13,500 rpm. Here is the complete horsepower/torque curve: http://photoshare.shaw.ca/image/c/e/a/95418/0704-0.jpg
Well the 1992 RS automatic is like 170 HP. I had a V6 Swapped out for a V8 on my camaro, I don't know how much it was. My car was a 1983 Camaro with 107HP V6, replaced it with a 1992 RS V8 170HP.
Motorcycle speedometers are notoriously inaccurate and errors as high as 15% are pretty common. Consequently, any measurement not made with a radar gun, a GPS or a similar accurate instrument is not to be taken seriously. The fastest I went with my modified '02 GSF1200S (stage 1 jet kit, timing advancer, Yoshimura RS3 stainless with midpipe, 107Hp on the wheel) is 228km/h (GPS reading), but it's not it's top speed. I had taller than stock windscreen and a Givi Wingrack 2 with a 36L top case. Your results can and will vary depending on several variables, from the bike's state of tune, to the altitude/weather, to your weight and riding position. Faired Bandit will, for example, surely be faster than naked model when all else is equal. As far as top comfortable cruising speed goes, it's for me 160-180Km/h. I held it in that range for several hours with the bike fully loaded (about 160L of luggage). Again, your results...Previous answers:1. 148 from a fully standard bike2. Not sure where they 148 came from but I am a bandit owner myself. My bike is all stock. The fastest I have gotten up to was just over 170 mph on a strait hot road. The speedomiter only reads to 170 so past that you just have to guess. I would say after a bit of time at full throttle it crept up to around 173mph. The bandit runs right at 80mph in first gear at full rpms as well.
