One does not raise an eyebrow when one hears a questionable question. Men rise when a lady leaves or returns to a dinner table. Men always hold doors for ladies, and the lady always mutters a slight "Thank You". One puts a napkin in his/her lap at the moment one sits down at the table. One does not burp or belch, and if this happens when the "do-er" is not in control, the burper mumbles a "Oh my goodness"...or "sorry". A man does not oogle women on the street; neither does a lady oogle men. One does not wear revealing clothing. When a strange man continues to stare, a lady simply removes herself from his vision--if not possible, she tells her male escort. Body language dictates that neither men nor women (girls nor boys) stares at the other sex such that others will notice. A lady and a gentleman walk in a confident stride, but do not call attention to each other, or to strangers. Gesticulations using the hands or fingers are never used. (the middle digit of the hand?) A lady always keeps a subtle smile, not a broad one, but a simple one, on her face. So does a gentleman. A man offers his hand to shake hands, when offered a hand, or when meeting other people. A LADY, on the other hand, (?) offers her hand FIRST so that no one will attempt to kiss or hug her. The handshake does not break fingers, but, too, is not limp. A lady does not wear revealing clothing: neither does a gentleman. A lady allows a gentleman to pull out a chair when she is about to sit. Even though this makes the lady in question have to scootch her own chair--she allows this gesture. Neither of them stares at anything, especially another human which would make the stared at person uncomfortable. (This is a beginning, but I think it is a good start.)
