Why do we have three branches of government?

We have three branches of government because there are a lot of roles and duties to fulfill and if we only had 1 the jobs wouldn't get done because they would have to much responsibility and so that each can have there own responsibillity and they wont interfer in every matter. And so that one group would not have too much power and so having three branches of government everyones power is equal.
