What is the relationship between Ksp and the product of ion concentrations in terms of determining whether a solution if those ions is saturated?

Ion product < Ksp Unsaturated solution Ion product = Ksp Saturated solution Ion product > Ksp Supersaturated solution

What are the differences between a saturated solutionunsaturated solution and a supersaturated solution?

A saturated solution is where there is more solute in a solution than a solvent. A unsaturated solution is where there is more solvent than solute in a solution. And a super saturated solution is when let's say you boil water and put a bunch of sugar crystals in it,it will hold more solute than when it's cooled. So youhave a bunch of crystals in boiled water, then you cool the water down and sometimes the crystals will stay in the solution. Then it becomes supersaturated. Sorry if I'm wrong. :3

What does saturated mean in science terms?

A saturated solution contains only a maximum amount of solute. (what is being dissolved)

How are the terms solubility and saturated different?

Saturated means that the solute is entirely dissolved in the fluid. Solubility is the capacity of the solute to dissolve in the fluid. So this is how they are different.

What molecule can be saturated and unsaturated?

The terms saturated and unsaturated or typically used for hydrocarbons -- long chains of carbon atoms. A chain is saturated when there are no double bonds between any carbon atoms. The term unsaturated fat is based on this very idea.

What are the properties of saturated solutions?

in laymans terms: if you add anymore of the substance your dissolving it will not dissolve and most likely collect at the bottom of your solution , or on top. its always helpful if you have a see through solution^^
