You can use the PSP microphone to make phone calls using Skype.
The psp 3000 comes with a build in mic.
The PSP 3000 has the mic built right in to it.
yes i would recommend getting a psp 3000 it has a microphone and umd (disk) drive. psp go only has a microphone and is more expensive.
The two major differences are: 1. 3000 has a built-in microphone!!! 2. 3000 has an anti-glare screen!!!
If on the sides your psp sticks out, you have the 1000. If its slim but has no microphone, you have the 2000. If its slim but has a microphone, you have the 3000. The psp go hasn't come out yet but on that the screen slides up.
They are virtually identical. The 3000's lower buttons are rounder, rather than semi-circular on the 2000. The 3000 has an 'advanced' screen, and a built-in microphone.
The PSP-1000 is much heavier than the 2000 and 3000. The PSP-2000 and 3000 are very similar though the 3000 has an antiglare screen, a built in microphone and the HOME button has been changed to the PS button.
the psp is thicker than the psp 3000 and there is other little things like the psp 3000 has a newer screen to keep the reflection off it and the psp has a built in microphone. you can use the original psp as a controller to practically anything. the umd case on the 3000 doesn't have a latch the wlan switch is moved the memory card slot is moved a little. the speakers on the original psp are on the bottom and on the psp 3000 there next to the screen. the psp logo on the back and on the front are different, and the big one for me is the fact you can hook the psp 3000 into the TV.
I'd say the 2000 is better value for money. It is cheaper than the 3000, and the differences (different screen and in-built microphone) are not worth paying extra for.
