As the two tectonic plates on either side of each side of the ridge pull away from each other the ground weakens and eventually boiling rock/magma pushes up like an underwater volcano. This volcano dosent have much force though. This magma quickly cools forming new land, like the Giants Causeway in Northern Ireland.In short Melted rocks that have cooled
