I've been selling Prius since 2000 so Ive gotten a lot of feedback. In the current generation, if you use all the tools the car gives you to drive in the most fuel efficient way possible you can get 60 or even 70 mpg. However nobody like going 20 mph everywhere you go.
If you drive like I do, just get in and drive and use eco mode occationally you will see 48-55 mpg.
The Toyota Prius C gets the best city mileage at 53 miles per gallon. The Toyota Prius gets the best highway mileage at 48 miles per gallon. Highway or city a Toyota Prius is the way to go.
