The word "millennium" isn't in The Bible.

Millennium means a "1000 year period," which is mentioned in the Bible.

Certain passages in the Bible suggest that God's plan for the restoration of His Kingdom on earth revolves around a "six-day work week" of "thousand-year days"... followed by a "thousand-year Sabbath day of rest" of the Lord:

"...beloved, BE NOT IGNORANT OF THIS ONE THING, that ONE DAY is with the Lord AS A THOUSAND YEARS, and a THOUSAND YEARS AS ONE DAY." (II Peter 3:8)

Prophecies of the future establishment of God's Kingdom on earth reveal that man's rule on earth has a "time limit." The general overview suggests that the main "limitation" revolves around the cessation of all life on earth, unless God steps in on global human affairs and stops it.

"For then shall be Great Tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, THERE SHOULD BE NO FLESH SAVED: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." (Matt.24:22)

"For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. And except that the Lord had shortened those days, NO FLESH SHOULD BE SAVED: but for the elect's sake, whom He hath chosen, He hath shortened the days." (Mark 13:19-20)

The Bible alludes to "creation" in this prophecy, which lends to the biblical account of the six days of creation, followed by the creation of the seventh day God made BY RESTING. This led to the "Divinely inspired SEVEN-DAY WEEK" which God gave to man in the beginning of man's creation... and which is still extant in modern society and the cornerstone of today's calendar.

God's Seventh-day Sabbath, true to man's rebellious nature, has been ignored by most men, argued about, fought over and changed among man's religions -- but stands eternally and unalterably etched in the Commandments of God and in the inspired pages of His Word, the Bible:

"REMEMBER the Sabbath day, TO KEEP IT HOLY... THE SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH OF THE LORD THY GOD: IN IT THOU SHALT NOT DO ANY WORK..." (Ex.20:8-10)

Man forgot [or in most cases simply refuses] to REMEMBER THE CREATION!

And in this failure to "remember" [a spiritual act of thought] God's creation -- HE FORGOT GOD AND CREATION -- and in his forgetfulness, teaches today in these last days of man's allotted time of rule on earth... "EVOLUTION" [creation without a Creator].

God has given man a time to work his works on earth -- six "one-thousand year days"... a "six-thousand year work week" to learn how vain and worthless the pursuit of sin is... and where it leads [to death]. So that, when he resurrects in the Judgment and "lives again" -- men will REMEMBER.

This six-thousand year work week shall be followed by "the one-thousand year Sabbath day of rest of the Lord thy God" -- what many call "The Millennium" or the "Thousand-year Rule of Christ" on earth.

It will be a "thousand year Sabbath day" in which the nations shall REMEMBER GOD'S CREATION... when the nations will be taught God's ways... when sin and disobedience will not be allowed or tolerated.

The word "Sabbath" means "Rest." The Bible speaks of Christ's coming "thousand year rule on earth" as "His Rest."

"So, as the Holy Spirit says: 'Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the desert, where your fathers tested and tried Me and for forty years saw what I did. That is why I was angry with that generation, and I said, ''Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known My ways.'' So I declared on oath in My anger, ''They shall never enter My Rest.'' "

"See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the Living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfullness." (Heb.3:7-13 NIV)

"Therefore, since THE PROMISE OF ENTERING HIS REST STILL STANDS, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. For we also have had the gospel preached to us, JUST AS THEY DID; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith.

"Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, 'So I declared on oath in My anger, ''They shall never enter My Rest.'' And yet His work has been finished since the creation of the world.

"For somewhere He has spoken about the seventh day in these words: ''And on the seventh day God rested from all His work.'' And again in the passage above He says, ''They shall never enter My Rest.''

"IT STILL REMAINS THAT SOME WILL ENTER THAT REST, and those who formerly had the gospel preached to them did not go in, because of their disobedience. Therefore God again set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later He spoke through David, as was said before: 'Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.'

"For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. THERE REMAINS, THEN, A SABBATH-REST FOR THE PEOPLE OF GOD; for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from His.

"Let us, therefore, MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ENTER THAT REST, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience." (Heb.4:1-11 NIV)

The coming "thousand-year [one-day] rule of Jesus Christ on earth" [what some call the Millennium] shall be the "seventh-day Sabbath" that follows on the heels of man's allotted "six-thousand year [six-day] work week."

Those who are Christ's at His coming... those who "hear His voice today"... and who follow Him -- SHALL ENTER INTO THAT REST and rule the earth with Him for a thousand years in the Kingdom of God.

"I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the Word of God. They had not worshiped the Beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They CAME TO LIFE AND REIGNED WITH CHRIST A THOUSAND YEARS."

"(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the THOUSAND YEARS were ended.) This is the First Resurrection. Blessed and Holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The Second Death has no power over them, but they will be PRIESTS OF GOD and of CHRIST and WILL REIGN WITH HIM FOR A THOUSAND YEARS." (Rev.20:4-6 NIV)

They will be priests of God and of His Christ -- enter into His Rest; ministering, serving and teaching the nations God's ways all during the Milliennial Rule [the thousand-year Sabbath day Rest of the Lord thy God], the King of kings, Jesus Christ.
