Most states make the legal driving age 16, but there can be exceptions to that rule. In states that allow it a person can get a driver's license at 14 if they are living and working on a farm. Most if not all states will allow a 15 year old to have a "learner's license" but that restricts them from driving unless a 18 year old license person is sitting next to the driver. When in doubt call your DMV
It varies in different states.
