I don't think the first answer was about the right game....
There is no real level needed to complete Dragon Slayer, although, I recommend about level 60 (melee) or 45(range). Also, take a few lobsters/swordfish with you. Do not mage the dragon as the armour you use to mage will allow the dragon to hit regularly on you :)

∙ 10y agoActuall combat levels will vary. However, you should be able to do it with at least 40 attack strength and defence if using melee. If you are using range, then 40 range and defence. And if using magic, then 40 magic and defence. It is very possible to do this quest with lower stats, but if you have these you shouldn't have any problems as long as your well stocked on good food and are using the anti-dragon shield while fighting elvarg. If you are a member you also have the choice of drinking and anti-fire potion instead of wearing the anti-dragon shield, however it is not as effective as the shield.

∙ 12y agoAround level 50-60 maybe. You at least want 40 att/str/def, full rune armor, and a rune weapon. The guides on Runehq.com and tip.it/runescape will give you more then enough of an answer.
