It costs 15 USD to play World of Warcraft. You can buy it from the website at intervals of 2, 4 or 6 months at a time. You save a little extra money for buying longer subscriptions. When time runs out, simply go back to the website, type in your credit card # and authentication key. Sometimes your log-in password and account name is also required. Though it's completely safe, some people are uneasy with processing this information, so you can also pay through Paypal or your phone bill. Remember one account can't be used at once, but it can be accessed on any computer that has WoW installed, and you can make up to 50 characters. Also, your progress is saved on Blizzard's network servers, so no worry about your computer freezing/breaking ect and you losing all progress. Even if you accidentally erase something, you can always restore it by talking to a gm (game master.)
Many reviews (in fact, pretty much every one written) describes how WoW excels in bringing enjoyable, long-lasting content into your home. Game Informer rated the newest expansion Wrath of the Lich King (WotLK) a 9.75 out of 10, stating that it's "so much content and fun wrapped up into one small box"
The last expansion was The Burning Crusade and the next one, still unreleased and release TBA; Cataclysmwill hit store shelves sometime in 2010. There will be many changes made to Azeroth, including re-design and phase changing, flying mounts w/passengers, new secondary profession; Archaeology, "Battle for Gilneas" the next bg, two new classes Goblins and Worgen, with their respected starting zones and capitals. Also, many new quests, dungeons, and raids (including Deepholm, where veterans of the game will relive their memories with the boss encounter Ragnaros at 85), which is the new cap. A new neutral city called Vash'Jir will be added, and it's at the bottom of the ocean. Fans will be appaled by the massive changes made to the World of Warcraft, and all the "epic" fun!
Yes, you do have to pay a monthly fee after u have bought the game it is about $10 a month or maybe more
You cannot play World Of Warcraft, let alone download , if you are not online.
Install it, and then you need to sign up for an account with blizzard entertainment. this is NOT a free account. the monthly fee is about $15.00.
You have to pay for game cards if you do not put the subscription on a credit card or phone-bill. You do NOT have to have a game card if you use either of the other two options.
If you like playing for free and not expecting graphics to be very good, then you should play runescape. If you have the extra money to pay for a game monthly and you expect a lot out of a game, then you should play world of warcraft.
