Best Answer

DRT ammo. Frangible round, a fine powder surrounded in copper. 9mm,40 s&w,5.56 nato,308 winchester. Made by Dynamic Research Technologies. Nickname "dead right there". It will go through a door, but will not go through a body. When the bullet hits a ballistic material it explodes and the powder goes into everything in about a 5" radius.

If you throw a bullet into a fire and it goes off will it travel far?

No. It depends upon the bullet of course, but a handgun bullet usually won't hurt you if it hits you under those conditions. Another answer: Depends on the cartridge: Remember that this is deadly because the bullet and cartridge will go in opposite directions at great speeds. The larger the bullet and powder will determine the velocity and distance.

A bullet is fired from a gun. The speed of the bullet will be about the same as the speed of the recoiling gun if the mass of the bullet equals the mass of the gun?

The mass of a bullet is nowhere near the mass of a gun. A bullet weighs at most a few hundred grains. Most guns weigh at least a couple of pounds, some weigh several pounds (talking about handguns and rifles).

What is the difference between 10mm bullet and 45 bullet?

The most obvious different is the 10mm bullet is smaller in diameter than the .45. A 10mm bullet is .40 of an inch and the .45 is .45 of an inch. Other differences, depending on exactly which cartridge you are referring to, are muzzle energy and velocity.

What speed does a bullet return to earth?

If the bullet were shot perfectly vertically in a vacuum, it would reach its maximum altitude, then fall at a velocity of 32 ft/sec/sec. The terminal velocity would depend upon the altitude reached by the bullet, which in turn depends upon the caliber and load of bullet shot.

Does a bullet train travel faster than a bullet?

bullet trains travel at 96.5 percent the speeed of a bullet No it doesn't. A bullet train does around 190mph normally and can reach 275mph. Depending on calibre, a rifle bullet travels at 1,500-2,000mph. So on average, a bullet train travelling at normal speed travels at between 9.5 and 12.6% of the speed of a rifle bullet.
