There are not many durable laptops out there but the laptop I would recommend is an Apple. You can buy a protective case for the laptop to provide protection for the laptop. These laptops last forever and can be bought at any Apple store.
If by durable, you're referring to ruggedness, my vote goes to Itronix's Gobook Max. It's marketed as "Unbreakable", and is used by the military.
Most reliable is Toshiba, least reliable is Dell.
There are a couple really good laptop brands. HP and Dell are two that stand out. The Dell 1420 is good.
Apple, in my opinion, produces the most durable laptops and notebook computers.

Laptop computers are just as reliable as desktop computers. Like desktop computers, the measure of how reliable the computer is depends on the hardware that went into making it. If you buy a cheap computer the computer itself isn't going to be all that reliable.
The HP Pavilion TX2000Z 12.1" TOUCH-SCREEN NOTEBOOK LAPTOP PC is more durable than some others
The best notebook computers are made by apple. The macbook pro notebook is the best laptop out there in my opinion. It is the fastest and the simplest notebook to use and understand.
Notebook laptops are also called as laptop computers or portable computers it can be used in different environments.

the mac PAC the thinest notebook in the world
The Toshiba notebook laptop doesn't have an estimated time for its durability. Like any laptop if its well taken care of and updated on a regular basis it can go on for a really long time like if it was new.
Laptops were names such because they filled your lap. Notebook computers include those the size of your lap and smaller "tablet" PCs small enough to fit in the hand that were the size of a paper notebook.
The word laptop and notebook are currently being used interchangeably. Many manufacturer have stopped using the word laptop, as they no longer suggest that the computers be used on customer's laps. Overheating and battery explosions have led manufacturers to recommend that customer's always operate the devices on a hard surface.
As far as I know, a laptop and a notebook are essentially the same thing. Some companies may have a difference, but the industry uses the terms interchangeably.
1) tablet computer. 2) smart phones. 3) notebook computers. 4) handheld computers such as laptop.
