∙ 9y agoThe most valuable buffalo nickel is an error coin minted in 1916. The date was cut into the die twice, leaving two "16"s. As of 02/2015 these coins sell for almost $4000 in the most-worn but readable condition, all the way up to over $450,000 for one in top quality.
The most valuable regular-issue buffalo nickel is a 1926 coin minted at San Francisco. It sells for as much as $125,000 in MS66 condition.
