Its elemental weight
Electrons in the outer shells (valency electrons)
Electrons in the outer shells (valency electrons)
The number of electrons. The valence (outer) shell is particularly important.
The number of outer electrons
The reason the periodic table was created in the first place was to illustrate the "periodic" physical properties of the known elements of the time. Because of this, the properties of elements that were "missing" from the table could be extrapolated from the periodic trends seen in the known elements.
The Periodic table contains only elements, however, HO4 is a compound and hence has no place on the period table.
true
Atomic number is the characteristic used to place the elements in their rows. Electron configuration is another characteristic that governs which elements are placed in groups.
Sometimes it is placed outside the table, because it does not share any properties with the other elements in their groups, including Group 1.
The periodic table is an array of various elements. Iodine is an element. Hence it finds it place on the periodic table.
he invented an early version of the periodic table, and was able to use it to predict what unfound elements properties would be he follow the periodic law and place the similar elements according their mass number.
An elements period is its row in the periodic table.

A higher place in the periodic table of the elements.
Metals are placed at the left. Non-metals are placed at right in periodic table.

They have similar properties, usually.

Yes, Dmitri Mendeleev made the Periodic Table of Elements, and interestingly enough, he did it without knowing all of the natural elements! As scientists discovered new elements, they realized the elements fit right into place on Dmitri's table.
The Periodic table contains only elements, however, HO4 is a compound and hence has no place on the period table.
Periodic table would be complex then. It will make study of elements difficult.
